Porte (architecture)En architecture et construction, une porte ( du latin porta) est une baie, une structure (en bois ou métallique), dans un mur permettant d’entrer, ou de sortir, d'un domaine, d'un édifice ou pour circuler dans ses pièces. Dans le langage familier le mot « porte » désigne seulement l'« huis », qui est la menuiserie mobile permettant de fermer ce passage et soutenu par le dormant.
Zero heating buildingZero-heating building or nearly zero-heating building (nZHB) is a building having essentially zero heating demand, defined as having heating demand, Q’NH, less than 3 kWh/(m2a). The zero-heating building is intended for use in heating-dominated areas. The purpose of the zero-heating building is to supersede net-zero energy buildings as a way to bring building-related greenhouse gas emissions to zero in the EU. Zero-heating buildings address flawed net-zero energy buildings: the requirement for seasonal energy storage, in some cases poor comfort of living and narrow design options.
WeatherizationWeatherization (American English) or weatherproofing (British English) is the practice of protecting a building and its interior from the elements, particularly from sunlight, precipitation, and wind, and of modifying a building to reduce energy consumption and optimize energy efficiency. Weatherization is distinct from building insulation, although building insulation requires weatherization for proper functioning. Many types of insulation can be thought of as weatherization, because they block drafts or protect from cold winds.

Le concept d'apporter la lumière par réflexion a été inventé par les égyptiens, qui utilisaient des miroirs pour éclairer les pyramides. Le système du conduit de lumière tel que nous le connaissons, a été créé et développé en Australie en 1986 par la société Solatube.
