Sacca-kiriya
Sacca-kiriyā (Pāli; satya-kriya, but more often: satyādhiṣṭhāna) is a solemn declaration of truth, expressed in ritual speech. Most often found in Buddhism, it can be an utterance with regard to one's own virtue, or with regard to a certain fact, followed by a command or resolution. Such a statement is believed to effect a wonder-working power that can benefit oneself and others, depending on the truthfulness of the person making the statement.

Buddhist ethics
Buddhist ethics are traditionally based on what Buddhists view as the enlightened perspective of the Buddha. The term for ethics or morality used in Buddhism is Śīla or sīla (Pāli). Śīla in Buddhism is one of three sections of the Noble Eightfold Path, and is a code of conduct that embraces a commitment to harmony and self-restraint with the principal motivation being nonviolence, or freedom from causing harm. It has been variously described as virtue, moral discipline and precept.
Bouddhisme mahāyāna
Le bouddhisme mahāyāna, (terme sanskrit – महायान – signifiant « grand véhicule », en chinois : 大乘, dàchéng ; en japonais : 大乗, daijō ; en vietnamien : Đại Thừa ; en coréen : 대승, dae-seung), apparaît vers le début de notre ère dans le Nord de l’Inde et dans l'Empire kouchan, d’où il se répand rapidement au Tarim et en Chine, avant de se diffuser dans le reste de l’Extrême-Orient.
Cinq Préceptes
Les Cinq Préceptes (en sanskrit pañcaśīla, et en pali pañcasīla ou pañcasikkhāpada, ) sont les préceptes de base (śīla) que les bouddhistes laïcs (les upāsakas et les upāsikās) doivent veiller à observer afin de bien progresser sur la voie indiquée par le bouddha Shakyamuni; ils garantissent au moins aux pratiquants de ne pas rétrograder dans les mondes inférieurs (monde des animaux, monde des esprits errants et monde de l'enfer) lors de leur renaissance après la vie présente.
