LysefjordLysefjord (ou Lysefjorden, le suffixe "-en" étant une forme de l'article défini en norvégien) est un fjord situé à Ryfylke dans le sud-ouest de la Norvège. Son nom signifie le fjord de la lumière, et son nom proviendrait du granite qui colore ses flancs. Le fjord fut creusé par l'action de glaciers au cours des périodes glaciaires et la mer s'y engouffra une fois dégagé. Au total, le fjord mesure 42 kilomètres de long, avec des parois qui s'élèvent jusqu'à au-dessus de l'eau. De par son relief accidenté, le fjord n'est que peu peuplé.

Other villages in the municipality include Fister, Årdal, and Jøsenfjorden. Hjelmeland is known for its fruit (apples, pears, plums, cherries and strawberries) and fish production. Salmon has been important for the fish industry in Hjelmeland for a couple of decades, but white fish such as cod and halibut has increased its value in the latter years.
RennesøyRennesøy is a former municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It was merged into Stavanger municipality on 1 January 2020. It was located in the traditional district of Ryfylke. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Vikevåg. Other villages in Rennesøy included Askje and Sørbø. The municipality encompassed a number of islands on the south side of the Boknafjorden, north of the city of Stavanger. At the time of its dissolution, the municipality was the 404th largest by area out of the 422 municipalities in Norway.

BrusandBrusand is a village in Hå municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The small village is located on a small isthmus of land between the lake Bjåvatnet and the North Sea. The village sits along the Sørlandet Line (traditionally called the Jæren Line) and it is served by the Jæren Commuter Rail which stops at the Brusand Station. The village is about southeast of the village of Vigrestad and about northwest of the villages of Ogna and Sirevåg. Brusand is located next to the large Brusandstranda beach which has a nice sandy beach, plus a good-sized area of sand dunes.

The municipality encompassed the majority of the Nedstrand peninsula. Originally (from 1838 to 1868) it also included the Sjernarøyane islands and the western part of the island of Ombo in the fjord to the south. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Nedstrand. Nedstrand Church is located in Hindaråvåg, a small village just west of Nedstrand village.
Høle (municipality)Høle or Høgsfjord is a former municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The large municipality existed from 1865 until 1965. It was called Høgsfjord from 1865 until 1871 when the municipality was reduced in size and the name was changed to Høle. The municipality originally was quite large, surrounding both sides of the Høgsfjorden and Lysefjorden. Throughout its history, it included large parts of the present-day municipalities of Sandnes and Gjesdal. Since 1965, the area of Høle has been the borough of Høle in Sandnes municipality.
