Vikedal (municipality)
Vikedal is a former municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1965. It was located along the Vindafjorden and Sandeidfjorden in the northern part of the Ryfylke district. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Vikedal, where Vikedal Church is located. The parish of Vikedal was created as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt law). On 1 January 1923, the municipality was divided in three.
Skjold (municipality)
Skjold is a former municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The municipality encompassed all the area surrounding the Grindafjorden and Skjoldafjorden. The area is located in the present-day municipalities of Vindafjord and Tysvær. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Skjold where the Skjold Church is located. The parish of Skjold was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt law).
Vats (municipality)
Vats is a former municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. Located in the traditional district of Haugaland, the municipality existed from 1891 until 1965. The municipality encompassed the land to the east and west surrounding the Vatsfjorden and the lake Vatsvatnet. Vats is typically divided into two parts Øvre Vats (around the lake in the north) and Nedre Vats (around the fjord in the south). The municipality of Vats was established on 1 January 1891 when it was split off from the municipality of Skjold.
Imsland
Imsland is a former municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1923 until its dissolution in 1965. The municipality included the area surrounding the inner part of the Vindafjorden in the present-day municipalities of Suldal and Vindafjord. The administrative centre of Imsland was the village of Imslandsjøen where Imsland Church is located. The municipality was created on 1 January 1923 when the large municipality of Vikedal was split into three. The southeastern part of Vikedal became the municipality of Imsland.
Tysvær
Tysvær is a municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is part of the Haugalandet region. The municipality is located on the Haugalandet peninsula on the northern side of the Boknafjorden, just east of the towns of Kopervik and Haugesund. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Aksdal. Other villages in the municipality include Dueland, Førre, Grinde, Hervik, Hindaråvåg, Nedstrand, Skjoldastraumen, Susort, Tysvær, and Yrke.
Sveio
Sveio is a municipality in Vestland county, Norway. Sveio is a border district that is sometimes considered to be located in the traditional district of Haugalandet since it is located on the Haugalandet peninsula, but it is also considered to be in the traditional district of Sunnhordland since it is located in southern Hordaland county. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Sveio. Other villages in the municipality include Auklandshamn, Førde, Våga, and Valevåg.
Haugesund
Haugesund est une kommune et une ville portuaire située sur la côte ouest de la Norvège entre Stavanger et Bergen. Son territoire communal est délimité au nord par celle de Sveio, à l'ouest par Bømlo, à l'est par Tysvær et au sud par Karmøy. Le point culminant de la commune est la montagne Klauv située à d'altitude. Haugesund est une petite commune de . La ville en elle-même se trouve sur la partie continentale du détroit de Smedasundet. Certaines parties de la localité de Norheim appartiennent à la couronne péri-urbaine d'Haugesund bien que se situant sur l'île de Karmøy.
Sandeid (municipality)
Sandeid is a former municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1923 until its dissolution in 1965. It was located at the northern end of the Sandeidfjorden in what is now part of the municipality of Vindafjord. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Sandeid where Sandeid Church is located. The municipality was created on 1 January 1923 when the old municipality of Vikedal was split into three. Initially, Sandeid had a population of 558.
Comté de Rogaland
