Paramilitaire
Un groupe paramilitaire est une force armée dont la fonction et l'organisation sont similaires à celles d'une armée professionnelle mais qui n'est pas considérée comme faisant partie des forces armées d'un État. Par extension, on peut appeler paramilitaires les individus y appartenant. En fonction du contexte, les paramilitaires peuvent comprendre : les militaires irréguliers tels que les milices, les guérilléros, les insurgés, etc. les forces auxiliaires des armées nationales, tels que les commandos spéciaux des services de renseignement conduisant des opérations clandestines.
Projectile
A projectile is an object that is propelled by the application of an external force and then moves freely under the influence of gravity and air resistance. Although any objects in motion through space are projectiles, they are commonly found in warfare and sports (for example, a thrown baseball, kicked football, fired bullet, shot arrow, stone released from catapult). In ballistics mathematical equations of motion are used to analyze projectile trajectories through launch, flight, and impact.
Close-quarters combat

Le CQB n'est pas synonyme de combat urbain dans le sens où ce dernier englobe plus de logistiques, et l'usage potentiel d'armes lourdes ou de grenades, alors que le CQB se concentre sur des armes compactes telles que pistolets mitrailleurs, fusils, armes de poing et couteaux.
Law enforcement
Law enforcement is the activity of some members of government who act in an organized manner to enforce the law by discovering, deterring, rehabilitating, or punishing people who violate the rules and norms governing that society. The term encompasses police, courts, and corrections. These three components may operate independently of each other or collectively, through the use of record sharing and mutual cooperation. Throughout the world, law enforcement are also associated with protecting the public, life, property, and keeping the peace in society.
Militarization of police
The militarization of police (paramilitarization of police in some media) is the use of military equipment and tactics by law enforcement officers. This includes the use of armored personnel carriers (APCs), assault rifles, submachine guns, flashbang grenades, sniper rifles, and SWAT (special weapons and tactics) teams. The militarization of law enforcement is also associated with intelligence agency–style information gathering aimed at the public and political activists and with a more aggressive style of law enforcement.
Cartridge (firearms)
A cartridge or a round is a type of pre-assembled firearm ammunition packaging a projectile (bullet, shot, or slug), a propellant substance (usually either smokeless powder or black powder) and an ignition device (primer) within a metallic, paper, or plastic case that is precisely made to fit within the barrel chamber of a breechloading gun, for the practical purpose of convenient transportation and handling during shooting. Although in popular usage the term "bullet" is often informally used to refer to a complete cartridge, the correct usage only refers to the projectile.
