Groupe de haine
Un groupe de haine ou groupe haineux est une communauté sociale qui encourage ou pratique la haine, l'hostilité et la violence envers les représentants d'une race, ethnie, nation, religion, orientation sexuelle ou identité de genre et d'autres catégories de personnes. D'après le Federal Bureau of Investigation, l'objectif premier d'un groupe de haine . Aux États-Unis, le FBI ne publie pas de liste des groupes de haine et ne mène d'enquêtes que : s'il apparaît une menace ou une apologie de la violence ; si le groupe visé a les moyens de commettre des violences ; et si les actes proposés représentent une infraction aux lois fédérales.
LGBT stereotypes
LGBT stereotypes are stereotypes about lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people are based on their sexual orientations, gender identities, or gender expressions. Stereotypical perceptions may be acquired through interactions with parents, teachers, peers and mass media, or, more generally, through a lack of firsthand familiarity, resulting in an increased reliance on generalizations. Negative stereotypes are often associated with homophobia, lesbophobia, gayphobia, biphobia, or transphobia.
Transition de genre
La transition de genre est un ensemble de processus sociaux, administratifs ou médicaux conduisant à modifier l'expression de genre et l'apparence d'une personne pour la faire correspondre avec son identité de genre. Pour les personnes transgenres, ce processus peut impliquer l'hormonosubstitution et la chirurgie de réattribution sexuelle. La transition inclut également des aspects sociaux (changement de prénom et de pronom, nouvelle expression de genre par exemple) et administratifs (comme la modification de la mention du sexe à l'état civil lorsque cela est possible).
LGBT community
The LGBT community (also known as the LGBTQ+ community, LGBTQIA+ community, gay community, or queer community) is a loosely defined grouping of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals united by a common culture and social movements. These communities generally celebrate pride, diversity, individuality, and sexuality. LGBT activists and sociologists see LGBT community-building as a counterweight to heterosexism, homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, sexualism, and conformist pressures that exist in the larger society.
Travesti (gender identity)
The term travesti is used in Latin America to designate people who were assigned male at birth and develop a feminine gender identity. Other terms have been invented and are used in South America in an attempt to further distinguish it from cross-dressing, drag, and pathologizing connotations. In Spain, the term was used in a similar way during the Franco era, but it was replaced with the advent of the medical model of transsexuality in the late 1980s and early 1990s, in order to rule out negative stereotypes.
