Détroit de TaïwanLe détroit de Taïwan ou détroit de Formose est un détroit de de largeur situé entre la Chine continentale et l'île de Taïwan (ou Formose). Il a une largeur de dans sa plus petite portion. Ce détroit fait partie de la mer de Chine méridionale et relie celle-ci à la mer de Chine orientale située au nord-est. À l'ouest du détroit se trouve la province de Fujian, en Chine continentale. On y trouve les archipels de Jinmen et Matsu placées sous la souveraineté de la République de Chine (Taïwan) et qui forme la province taïwanaise du Fujian.

Dynastie ChenLa dynastie Chen (陳朝 (en pinyin: Chén cháo)) est la quatrième et dernière dynastie du Sud de la Chine. Elle régna de 557 à 589. Elle fut précédée par la dynastie Liang et suivie par la dynastie Sui, qui réunifia la Chine. Fuding() is a county-level city in northeastern Ningde prefecture-level city, on Fujian's border with Zhejiang province. Fuding county was established during the Qing Dynasty in 1739 AD. On December 15, 1950, the Matsu Administrative Office (馬祖行政公署) of Fujian Province, Republic of China was established including modern-day Lienchiang County (the Matsu Islands), ROC (Taiwan) as well as islands in present-day Haidao Township, Xiapu County and Taishan (台山) in Fuding's Shacheng. Fuding was promoted to county-level city status in 1995.

Fu'an(; Foochow Romanized: Hók-ăng-chê; sometimes Fu An) is a county-level city of Ningde prefecture level city, in northeast Fujian province, PRC, some North of the provincial capital Fuzhou. Fuzhou and Fu'an of Ningde prefecture along with Cangnan county-level city of Wenzhou prefecture in Zhejiang province make up the Min Dong linguistic and cultural region of China. Fu'an county was found in 1245 AD in the Southern Song. In civil war of China, Fu'an was occupied by People's Liberation Army on July, 1949.

Putian peopleThe Putian people or Xinghua people, (Chinese: 莆田人, pinyin: Pútiánrén; Puxian Min: 莆仙儂, Hinghwa Romanized: Pó-sing-náng) are people from Putian, east Fujian, China. They are also known as Xinghua or Henghua people () after the historical name of the area. They speak Min Chinese called Puxian Min. They may also be referred to as Xinghua. Hing Hua district was one former name of Putian. Henghuas are speakers of Putianese and trace their ancestry to Putian.
