Facteur limitant

Les facteur limitant est le facteur qui va conditionner la vitesse ou l’amplitude d’un phénomène plurifactoriel à un moment précis. À ce moment-là, tous les autres facteurs permettant la réalisation de ce phénomène sont en excès par rapport au facteur limitant. Le concept de quantité relative est très important, une modification des proportions peut changer la nature du facteur limitant. Cette notion semble être apparue au dans le cadre des recherches agricoles mais est utilisée dans de multiples domaines.

Traffic engineering (transportation)

Traffic engineering is a branch of civil engineering that uses engineering techniques to achieve the safe and efficient movement of people and goods on roadways. It focuses mainly on research for safe and efficient traffic flow, such as road geometry, sidewalks and crosswalks, cycling infrastructure, traffic signs, road surface markings and traffic lights. Traffic engineering deals with the functional part of transportation system, except the infrastructures provided.

Vehicular communication systems

Vehicular communication systems are computer networks in which vehicles and roadside units are the communicating nodes, providing each other with information, such as safety warnings and traffic information. They can be effective in avoiding accidents and traffic congestion. Both types of nodes are dedicated short-range communications (DSRC) devices. DSRC works in 5.9 GHz band with bandwidth of 75 MHz and approximate range of . Vehicular communications is usually developed as a part of intelligent transportation systems (ITS).

Problem finding

Problem finding means problem discovery. It is part of the larger problem process that includes problem shaping and problem solving. Problem finding requires intellectual vision and insight into what is missing. Problem finding plays a major role in application of creativity. Different terms have been used for problem finding in literature including problem discovery, problem formulation, problem identification, problem construction, and problem posing. It has been studied in many fields.
