Regional transmission organization (North America)A regional transmission organization (RTO) in the United States is an electric power transmission system operator (TSO) that coordinates, controls, and monitors a multi-state electric grid. The transfer of electricity between states is considered interstate commerce, and electric grids spanning multiple states are therefore regulated by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). The voluntary creation of RTOs was initiated by FERC Order No. 2000, issued on December 20, 1999.

Peak carPeak car (also peak car use or peak travel) is a hypothesis that motor vehicle distance traveled per capita, predominantly by private car, has peaked and will now fall in a sustained manner. The theory was developed as an alternative to the prevailing market saturation model, which suggested that car use would saturate and then remain reasonably constant, or to GDP-based theories which predict that traffic will increase again as the economy improves, linking recent traffic reductions to the Great Recession of 2008.
Multidrop busA multidrop bus (MDB) is a computer bus in which all components are connected to the electrical circuit. A process of arbitration determines which device sends information at any point. The other devices listen for the data they are intended to receive. Multidrop buses have the advantage of simplicity and extensibility, but their differing electrical characteristics make them relatively unsuitable for high frequency or high bandwidth applications.

Satellite de planète mineureUn satellite de planète mineure est une planète mineure en orbite autour d'une autre planète mineure. Il semble que bon nombre de planètes mineures possèdent un ou plusieurs satellites naturels, parfois de taille non négligeable. Une planète mineure dont le satellite est de taille comparable à celle de la planète mineure elle-même est plutôt considérée comme une planète mineure binaire. L'origine des satellites d'astéroïdes n'est pas connue avec certitude et plusieurs hypothèses ont été avancées.
