The calcn. of material balances during transitions implies the evaluation of cumulated quantities consumed and produced. This article presents the techniques to achieve this goal by evaluating the quantities involved in the reactions at each observation and by calcg. the material balances (carbon, nitrogen, degrees of redn.) at each observation.
