Encapsulation (électronique)In electronics manufacturing, integrated circuit packaging is the final stage of semiconductor device fabrication, in which the block of semiconductor material is encapsulated in a supporting case that prevents physical damage and corrosion. The case, known as a "package", supports the electrical contacts which connect the device to a circuit board. In the integrated circuit industry, the process is often referred to as packaging. Other names include semiconductor device assembly, assembly, encapsulation or sealing.

The definition of the Good is a perfect, eternal, and changeless Form, existing outside space and time. It is a Platonic ideal. The first references that are seen in The Republic to the Form of the Good are within the conversation between Glaucon and Socrates (454 c–d).

They help extend shelf life, monitor freshness, display information on quality, improve safety, and improve convenience. The terms are often related and can overlap. Active packaging usually means having active functions beyond the inert passive containment and protection of the product.
