The Blue Brain Project at EPFL, led by Professor Henry Markram, aims to build biologically detailed digital reconstructions and simulations of the mouse brain. Through a data-driven modeling process, the project organizes vast amounts of neuroscience data to create detailed models of brain structures and functions. By exploiting interdependencies in experimental data, Blue Brain develops unique in silico predictions and simulations that offer a new perspective on brain organization. With over 200 peer-reviewed publications, the project contributes significantly to simulation neuroscience, computational synthesis of neuronal morphologies, and understanding neuronal correlations and activity regimes.
