The Laboratory of Measurement and Analysis of Movements (LMAM) at EPFL focuses on improving movement monitoring and analysis in real-world conditions through the design of wearable systems and algorithms. Particularly interested in characterizing sport performances and pathologies affecting motor function, the lab has been involved in projects like SmartSwim for swimming analysis using wearable sensors and Bearmind for monitoring head impact in athletes. Additionally, the lab has been selected for initiatives like AIT Brazil accelerator and has won grants like the EPFL - Wyss Center Innogrant. Research at LMAM includes designing wearable and implanted technology to evaluate pathologies affecting motor function and studying motor performances in sports.
