The Unite de la Prof. Oricchio, led by Prof. Elisa Oricchio, focuses on integrating genomic and functional analyses to identify oncogenic events in cancer and design novel therapies. The lab combines genomic analyses of patient samples with functional studies in cell lines and animal models to develop rational therapeutic strategies. Recent research has delved into how genomic lesions influence chromatin 3D architecture in cancer cells, particularly investigating how recurrent mutations of EZH2 exploit the genome's 3D organization to sustain oncogenic programs. The lab also analyzes genetic alterations, tumor heterogeneity, and oncogenic signals associated with lymphoma pathogenesis to propose new therapies, utilizing patient-derived xenograft models and transgenic animal models. Additionally, the lab investigates the effects of genomic lesions on tumor evolution in response to anti-cancer therapies, including immune therapies like CAR-T cells.
