Om, aum, (ॐ (devanagari); translittération IAST : oṃ) est une syllabe sanskrite que l'on retrouve dans plusieurs religions : l'hindouisme et ses yogas, le bouddhisme, le jaïnisme, le sikhisme, et le brahmanisme. On la nomme aussi udgitha ou pranava mantra (« mantra primordial », le mot prāṇa signifiant également « vibration vitale »). D’un point de vue hindouiste, cette syllabe représente le son originel, primordial, à partir duquel l'Univers se serait manifesté.

It refers to the one who removes darkness and illusion, the one who removes all obstacles to spiritual progress. Achintya Bheda AbhedaAchintya-Bheda-Abheda (अचिन्त्यभेदाभेद, in IAST) is a school of Vedanta representing the philosophy of inconceivable one-ness and difference. In Sanskrit achintya means 'inconceivable', bheda translates as 'difference', and abheda translates as 'non-difference'. The Gaudiya Vaishnava religious tradition employs the term in relation to the relationship of creation and creator (Krishna, Svayam Bhagavan), between God and his energies.
