Économie de l'éducationL'économie de l'éducation est une branche de l'économie appliquée qui analyse l'éducation. Les premiers travaux des économistes de l'éducation portaient sur les relations entre l'éducation et la croissance économique (cf E. Denison et le facteur résiduel). les thèmes de recherche empirique se sont ensuite focalisés sur l'effet de l'éducation sur les salaires (cf travaux de Jacob Mincer). De nos jours les recherches en économie de l'éducation s'intéressent à la modélisation micro et macro économique de l'éducation intégrant les aspects quantitatifs et qualitatifs.
Relational capitalRelational capital is one of the three primary components of intellectual capital, and is the value inherent in a company's relationships with its customers, vendors, and other important constituencies. It also includes knowledge, capabilities, procedures and systems which are developed from relationships with external agents. Relational capital is defined as all relationships - market relationships, power relationships and cooperation - established between firms, institutions and people, which stem from a strong sense of belonging and a highly developed capacity of cooperation typical of culturally similar people and institutions.

Stock and flowEconomics, business, accounting, and related fields often distinguish between quantities that are stocks and those that are flows. These differ in their units of measurement. A stock is measured at one specific time, and represents a quantity existing at that point in time (say, December 31, 2004), which may have accumulated in the past. A flow variable is measured over an interval of time. Therefore, a flow would be measured per unit of time (say a year). Flow is roughly analogous to rate or speed in this sense.
Abstract labour and concrete labourAbstract labour and concrete labour refer to a distinction made by Karl Marx in his critique of political economy. It refers to the difference between human labour in general as economically valuable worktime versus human labour as a particular activity that has a specific useful effect within the (capitalist) mode of production. As economically valuable worktime, human labour is spent to add value to products or assets (thereby conserving their capital value, and/or transferring value from inputs to outputs).
