Utility bicycle
A utility bicycle, city bicycle, urban bicycle, European city bike (ECB), Dutch bike, classic bike or simply city-bike, is a bicycle designed for frequent very short, very slow rides through very flat urban areas. It is a form of utility bicycle commonly seen around the world, built to facilitate everyday short-distance riding (no more than 5-6 km a day) in normal clothes in cold-to-mild weather conditions.
Rue
La rue est un espace qui dessert habituellement des logements ou d'autres structures fonctionnelles dans une agglomération. Elle structure les différents quartiers de cette dernière et les met en relation, s'inscrivant de ce fait dans un réseau de voies à son échelle. Au niveau local, c'est aussi un espace public, lieu de rencontres et d'échange (notamment par les commerces) où s'exerce et se construit la sociabilité des individus et des groupes sociaux. Enfin, par le biais de la manifestation, la rue peut devenir un lieu de contestation.
Human-powered transport
Human-powered transport is the transport of person(s) and/or goods using human muscle power. Unlike animal-powered transport, human-powered transport has existed since time immemorial in the form of walking, running and swimming. Modern technology has allowed machines to enhance human-power. Although motorization has increased speed and load capacity, many forms of human-powered transport remain popular for reasons of cost, convenience, leisure, physical exercise, and environmentalism.
