The Peigné-Canet-Schneider mle 1897 gun carriage was a railway gun carriage designed and built during the late 1800s. Two types of guns were mounted on these carriages and both the French Army and US Army used them during World War I. They were retired soon after World War I. Chan Ka Nin (born 3 December 1949) is a Canadian composer and music educator of Chinese descent. He became a naturalized Canadian citizen in 1971. He has been commissioned to write works for the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, the CBC Radio Orchestra, the Esprit Orchestra, the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra, the National Arts Centre Orchestra, New Music Concerts, the Quebec Contemporary Music Society, and Symphony Nova Scotia among many others.

André Fortin (born 1956) is a French Canadian mathematician, known for his research in applied and industrial mathematics. He holds a NSERC Research Chair in High Performance Scientific Computing at Université Laval. Fortin earned his Ph.D. from the Université Laval in 1984. His thesis advisor was Michel Fortin, a now emeritus professor of the Université Laval, recipient of Prix Summa in 1987 and prize CAIMS-SCMAI in 2005 and a member of the Royal Society of Canada in 1999.
