The Laboratory of Nanoelectronic Devices (NANOLAB) at EPFL focuses on advanced nanoelectronics, emphasizing technology, design, and modeling of nanoscale solid-state devices. Research areas include energy-efficient devices for sustainable electronics, Edge AI, IoT smart sensors, reconfigurable RF and neuromorphic computation, and novel architectures for scalable Quantum Computing. NANOLAB has made significant contributions to tunnel FETs, negative capacitance, and nano-electro-mechanical Field Effect Transistors. The lab prioritizes materials abundant on Earth and non-toxic fabrication processes, supporting future electronics sustainability.
