Description

This lecture covers the analysis and estimation of stability in networked control systems (NCS). Topics include the model summary, NCS with collocated control, LTI systems, network models with delays, and the estimation of the Maximum Allowable Transfer Interval (MATI) for ensuring stability. The instructor discusses the impact of sampling intervals and delays on NCS stability, provides examples of first and second-order systems, and explains the estimation process for constant and variable sampling intervals. The lecture concludes with the sufficient stability conditions using Lyapunov functions and the computation of stability regions in the (T, 7)-plane.
