Association of Teachers of the EPFL

The Association of Teachers of the EPFL (APEL) is an organization that aims to facilitate professors' meetings and represent their opinions to EPFL's Direction on important topics. APEL is consulted on subjects of a prescriptive nature and maintains relationships with professors from EPFL Zurich, Swiss universities, and foreign similar schools. The association, governed by its statutes, admits various categories of professors as members and ensures the defense of their professional interests. APEL's resources come from member contributions, as well as public and private donations. The yearly general assembly, the supreme authority of the association, convenes to discuss and decide on various matters related to the association's goals and activities.
