The Interaction Systems Group (REACT) at EPFL focuses on designing and implementing innovative information systems for various interdisciplinary domains such as cyber physical systems, social media for digital education, and explainable artificial intelligence. They are affiliated with the EPFL School of Engineering and the Center for Learning Sciences, with research focusing on open educational resources, learning analytics, and interactive tools for blended learning. The group also investigates privacy-aware digital affordances against bullying and collaborates on research projects related to smart devices, astrobots, and online laboratories. They are actively involved in promoting computational thinking skills, gamifying computational notebooks, and understanding teacher design practices for digital inquiry-based science learning.
