SectionThe Section de Physique at EPFL is dedicated to exploring the natural phenomena from the infinitely small to the infinitely large, aiming to understand, explain, and predict the laws of the Universe. Physicists are trained to possess high-level theoretical and experimental skills, enabling them to work in fundamental and applied research, various engineering fields, service industries, and education. The curriculum includes fundamental physics disciplines along with teachings in humanities and social sciences to raise awareness of the ethical and environmental implications of future professional activities. With a strong emphasis on mathematics, physics students at EPFL engage in practical projects, experiments, and research, culminating in a Master's project conducted in a research laboratory.
