Use of force
The use of force, in the context of law enforcement, may be defined as the "amount of effort required by police to compel compliance by an unwilling subject". Use of force doctrines can be employed by law enforcement officers and military personnel on guard duty. The aim of such doctrines is to balance the needs of security with ethical concerns for the rights and well-being of intruders or suspects. Injuries to civilians tend to focus attention on self-defense as a justification and, in the event of death, the notion of justifiable homicide.

A law enforcement agency (LEA) is any government agency responsible for the enforcement of the law. LEAs which have their ability to apply their powers restricted in some way are said to operate within a jurisdiction. LEAs will have some form of geographic restriction on their ability to apply their powers. The LEA might be able to apply its powers within a country, for example the United States' Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives or its Drug Enforcement Administration; within a division of a country, for example the Australian state Queensland Police; or across a collection of countries, for example international organizations such as Interpol, or the European Union's Europol.
Policier
Un policier ou agent de police est un membre de la police, qu'il porte ou non l'uniforme et dont la fonction est de faire respecter la loi, de maintenir l'ordre et d'assurer la sécurité publique. Dans la plupart des États, les policiers peuvent porter une arme pendant leur service. Ils sont représentants de l'autorité publique ; à ce titre, la loi peut alourdir les peines de certains délits tel l'outrage à agent lorsqu'il visent un policier.
Police body camera
In policing equipment, a body camera or wearable camera, also known as body-worn video (BWV), body-worn camera (BWC), or bodycam, is a wearable audio, video, or photographic recording system used by police to record events in which law enforcement officers are involved, from the perspective of the officer wearing it. They are typically worn on the torso of the body, pinned on the officer's uniform. Police body cameras are often similar to body cameras used by civilians, firefighters, or the military, but are designed to address specific requirements related to law enforcement.
Outline of law enforcement
The following outline is provided as an overview of and introduction to law enforcement: Law enforcement – subsystem of society that promotes adherence to the law by discovering and punishing persons who violate rules and norms governing that society. Although the term may encompass entities such as courts and prisons, it most frequently applies to those who directly engage in patrols or surveillance to dissuade and discover criminal activity, and those who investigate crimes and apprehend offenders.

Amnesty International
Amnesty International (francisé Amnistie internationale au Canada) est une organisation non gouvernementale internationale qui promeut la défense des droits de l'Homme et le respect de la Déclaration universelle des droits de l'Homme. L'organisation milite notamment pour la libération des prisonniers d'opinion, le droit à la liberté d'expression, l'abolition de la peine de mort et de la torture et l'arrêt des crimes politiques, mais aussi pour le respect de l'ensemble des droits civils, politiques, économiques, sociaux et culturels.
Police corruption
Police corruption is a form of police misconduct in which law enforcement officers end up breaking their political contract and abusing their power for personal gain. This type of corruption may involve one or a group of officers. Internal police corruption is a challenge to public trust, cohesion of departmental policies, human rights and legal violations involving serious consequences. Police corruption can take many forms, such as bribery.

Law enforcement
Law enforcement is the activity of some members of government who act in an organized manner to enforce the law by discovering, deterring, rehabilitating, or punishing people who violate the rules and norms governing that society. The term encompasses police, courts, and corrections. These three components may operate independently of each other or collectively, through the use of record sharing and mutual cooperation. Throughout the world, law enforcement are also associated with protecting the public, life, property, and keeping the peace in society.
