Courbe remplissante
En analyse mathématique, une courbe remplissante (parfois appelée courbe de remplissage) est une courbe dont l' contient le carré unité entier (ou plus généralement un hypercube de dimension n). En raison du fait que le mathématicien Giuseppe Peano (1858–1932) a été le premier à découvrir dans le plan (en dimension 2) une telle courbe, les courbes remplissantes sont parfois appelées courbes de Peano, mais cette dénomination fait maintenant référence à la courbe de Peano qui désigne cet exemple spécifique de courbe remplissante découvert par Peano.
Semi-locally simply connected
In mathematics, specifically algebraic topology, semi-locally simply connected is a certain local connectedness condition that arises in the theory of covering spaces. Roughly speaking, a topological space X is semi-locally simply connected if there is a lower bound on the sizes of the “holes” in X. This condition is necessary for most of the theory of covering spaces, including the existence of a universal cover and the Galois correspondence between covering spaces and subgroups of the fundamental group.
Pin group
In mathematics, the pin group is a certain subgroup of the Clifford algebra associated to a quadratic space. It maps 2-to-1 to the orthogonal group, just as the spin group maps 2-to-1 to the special orthogonal group. In general the map from the Pin group to the orthogonal group is not surjective or a universal covering space, but if the quadratic form is definite (and dimension is greater than 2), it is both.
