Brushed DC electric motor

A brushed DC electric motor is an internally commutated electric motor designed to be run from a direct current power source and utilizing an electric brush for contact. Brushed motors were the first commercially important application of electric power to driving mechanical energy, and DC distribution systems were used for more than 100 years to operate motors in commercial and industrial buildings. Brushed DC motors can be varied in speed by changing the operating voltage or the strength of the magnetic field.

A motor soft starter is a device used with AC electrical motors to temporarily reduce the load and torque in the powertrain and electric current surge of the motor during start-up. This reduces the mechanical stress on the motor and shaft, as well as the electrodynamic stresses on the attached power cables and electrical distribution network, extending the lifespan of the system. It can consist of mechanical or electrical devices, or a combination of both.

Optimisation de code

En programmation informatique, l'optimisation de code est la pratique consistant à améliorer l'efficacité du code informatique d'un programme ou d'une bibliothèque logicielle. Ces améliorations permettent généralement au programme résultant de s'exécuter plus rapidement, de prendre moins de place en mémoire, de limiter sa consommation de ressources (par exemple les fichiers), ou de consommer moins d'énergie électrique. La règle numéro un de l'optimisation est qu'elle ne doit intervenir qu'une fois que le programme fonctionne et répond aux spécifications fonctionnelles.

Induction électromagnétique

L'induction électromagnétique est un phénomène physique conduisant à l'apparition d'une force électromotrice dans un conducteur électrique soumis à un flux de champ magnétique variable. Cette force électromotrice peut engendrer un courant électrique dans le conducteur. Ce phénomène est d'une importance pratique capitale. Il est notamment utilisé dans les générateurs et les transformateurs électriques, les bobines, ou encore les plaques à induction grâce aux courants de Foucault.

Global optimization

Global optimization is a branch of applied mathematics and numerical analysis that attempts to find the global minima or maxima of a function or a set of functions on a given set. It is usually described as a minimization problem because the maximization of the real-valued function is equivalent to the minimization of the function . Given a possibly nonlinear and non-convex continuous function with the global minima and the set of all global minimizers in , the standard minimization problem can be given as that is, finding and a global minimizer in ; where is a (not necessarily convex) compact set defined by inequalities .

Optimisation combinatoire

L’optimisation combinatoire, (sous-ensemble à nombre de solutions finies de l'optimisation discrète), est une branche de l'optimisation en mathématiques appliquées et en informatique, également liée à la recherche opérationnelle, l'algorithmique et la théorie de la complexité. Dans sa forme la plus générale, un problème d'optimisation combinatoire (sous-ensemble à nombre de solutions finies de l'optimisation discrète) consiste à trouver dans un ensemble discret un parmi les meilleurs sous-ensembles (ou solutions) réalisables, la notion de meilleure solution étant définie par une fonction objectif.

Motor drive

Motor drive means a system that includes a motor. An adjustable speed motor drive means a system that includes a motor that has multiple operating speeds. A variable speed motor drive is a system that includes a motor and is continuously variable in speed. If the motor is generating electrical energy rather than using it – this could be called a generator drive but is often still referred to as a motor drive. A variable frequency drive (VFD) or variable speed drive (VSD) describes the electronic portion of the system that controls the speed of the motor.

Groupe convertisseur

Un groupe convertisseur est un système électrotechnique permettant de modifier une alimentation électrique (tension / courant), en utilisant deux machines tournantes couplées mécaniquement.
